Well its that time of year again, Christmas is done and dusted, everyone has gone back to their own places, the house is clean and TGBIM aka Pete and I are off cruising for 2 weeks YAY ...

Windy, raining and new double zip clutches

I have been prepping for the Mooloolaba Wharf community twilight market tomorrow, and wondered why I decided to add a couple more double zip pouches..l but wow I love them in GeoPop fabric, here's a peak ... Oh and please ignore my messy sewing table.

 

 

Home and back to work

Home from cruising now, it was just a quick weekender, now its back to work. I will be joining the Community Market at Mooloolaba this Friday at the twilight market. so I must get a few more double zip clutches finished. I am a bit excited as I has a fabric order come in today and it included the 3 colours of the Tula Pink Elizabeth 16th Selfies... I love it.
Shop update: I have been slowly adding items to my shop right here on my blog, just click on the tabs at the top,its all safe through Pay Pal and of course you can always request a custom order. I can take orders up to Friday 11th December, for posting these orders.

Web shop, laptop and cruising

Crossing my fingers today is the day my new laptop arrives 💻. The old girl is slow and well a little annoying when trying to update my whole,blog, so patience has been the game. If it arrives soon I should finally get all my goodies up here on the sale pages By the middle of next week.

I have been sorting, organizing and generally destashing ready to do the local mothers and baby market at the end of this month. I hadn't said anything to the TBGIM (tall bald guy I married), aka Pete, as yet, then he surprised me with a 3 day cruise on that very weekend, as he said we need a quick holiday before Christmas, gotta love this guy.

Hmmmm.... A busy Mothers market or a long weekend being spoilt on a cruise to nowhere... CRUISE and TBGIM win.

Still crossing fingers my new MacBook Air arrives today. ...

Having a design phase

I have been designing this large pencil case/ coloring book came for a friend. Sometimes you know that you will only make one of a chain design, but this one I love .... Might just make some more and keep this one for myself. It fits my design book, pencils, rulers and even my IPad. The front pocket fits my erasers, sharpeners and my good lead pencils.

Sometimes I just need to make some zip top pouches

Love this white and pink giraffe premier print fabric, I lined the, with pink gingham. The larger one has a wrist strap and an internal pocket 

Work in progress. Negative space quilt

I have been playing around for a while on the idea for a negative space modern quilt. So I got out my trusty design book ( lots of blank pages) and colored pencils ( all still sharp) and drew a large grid and started to play around. After having lots of fun and using the eraser LOTS!!! I then cuts huge a,punts of fabric. Made some half square triangles and for the first time made some flying ducks... Nope that's wrong... Flying geese. 

Here is the front ... Only slightly like the design I drew, and much much bigger than I started out with. As I put it together it just seemed to need more.

After agonizing over the front, I decided to just use the Navy for the backing. Well of course the fabric I had was not big enough so I got back to the machine and made more geese... Hahah the flying kind. Here is the back, oh and yes it's Pete holding it up. It was too big for me. I will soon "quilt" it and post the finished product

New Playtime, tummy time, lap, baby, small cot Quilts

I know lots of names for these quilts, they have so many uses, and I can see any child's still dragging it around for years. Love a quilt when it's quiet time.
